A validity and reliability study of the Turkish computational thinking scale

The purpose of this study was to adapt the computational thinking scale developed by Tsai, Liang and Hsu (2021) into Turkish in order determine skill levels secondary school students according such basic elements defined Selby Woollard (2013) as abstraction, decomposition, algorithmic thinking, evaluation generalization do related validity reliability study. A total 454 high (9th – 12th grade) determined with convenient sampling method constituted sample original made up 19 5-point Likert-type items. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) performed examine conformity data collected via adapted five-factor structure scale. Cronbach Alpha coefficients obtained were .84 McDonald's omega .86. scale's adaptation found be valid trustworthy measurement tool establishing proficiency school.
